Our Story
The Insurance Brokers Ltd opened its doors on 14 September 1990, as the pioneers of independent professional insurance broking in St Vincent & Grenadines, providing a totally new Service to the Public, without Fees, and helping everyone. “The Insurance Brokers” quickly became a household name, as well as market leaders in obtaining free innovations and improvements for all classes of Insurance.
The Integrity and transparency of the Insurance Brokers Ltd led to being appointed as Insurance Brokers to the luxury resort of Mustique island for many years. This gave us tremendous expertise in high-value property insurance, together with major liability and employee benefits and other important coverage. We also trained Mustique’s staff members, until the Mustique Insurance Brokers opened.

Our reputation as the “Go-To” people has earned us the loyalty of thousands of different clients, all enjoying our friendly personal service. Our honest approach has always been to seek solutions for our clients, and the solution may not necessarily include Insurance. Our clientele extends from those needing the simplest low-cost insurance, to government and major businesses and organizations needing specialist, complex, high-level protection. All of these have freely benefited from our experience and expertise over the years since 1990.
We have also been generously showing our appreciation, long before expressions such as “Good Corporate Citizen” became popular. Some examples include Hurricane Weather Watch on national Radio for more than 20 years and our informative “Risky Business” radio program.

Our top management team already has a combined professional experience of more than 150 years, in every area of Insurance. Together, our whole Team has over 200 years of experience and expertise, so that we have truly earned the nickname of “The Old Broom that knows all the Corners!”

We have grown steadily and securely since 1990, including buying our own building (which is already too small!) in 2011, so we continue expanding in quality!
Over many years we have forged excellent relationships with insurance professionals in the Caribbean and internationally. One such relationship has led to a Giant Step in 2018, creating the truly awesome team that is The Insurance Brokers Ltd today!
